The wooden flute (dizi) is concert master level instrument, origially, the dizi was made of bamboo, for the better quality and protecting the crack by the weather. The maker statrt to use rosewood or better quality wood to make the dizi.

These are two styles wooden flutes are now available, one is straight body, other one is imitation of the bamboo.

The standard tuning pitch is 440 Hz.
